VCA shown as Informational

I am currently receiving an informational status the VCA client. I am primarily using the certificate as the means of trust but I have tried to use the server name. I have the single sign on working but VCA is still not trusting. During initial discovery the trusts were not setup but now it is set. Do I need to rediscover or am I missing something?

One more thing how can I change an the system name? I had some that auto discovered IP Addresses.

Re: VCA shown as Informational

The VCA also needs to be configured.
It needs to know where the VCRM is (server) and account / password details.

As with other settings this can be then used as a template and pushed to other servers.

As for names, I use auto-discovery exclusively. The trick is to get your DNS sorted.

The new HPSIM seems to require matching entries in the forward and reverse lookup tables before the name is presented.

You can also configure it to use a particular Softpaq as the baseline.

Re: VCA shown as Informational

Here is the current status. I have went and setup the reverse look ups in DNS so the names changed themselves but I am still have problems with trusts and VCA. I currently have the VCA setup to point to my Repository and I am using 6.40 as my base but I am still seeing trust issues even though the Insight Agent recognizes the trusts.

Re: VCA shown as Informational

Since you've made the changes have you rerun the Software Version Status Polling task?

You can run a new Software Polling Task to just update the status on selected servers. Under Options / Status Polling or rerun the main one for all Servers.
