Application migration from gen10 to gen11 servers

Previously, we operated on HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers, and now we are transitioning to HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 servers. Our production servers, which were functioning seamlessly on Gen10, have been migrated to Gen11. Despite completing all the necessary steps in the migration process, our PowerShell scripts are encountering issues on the Gen11 servers. We are currently investigating the root cause of this problem. Can you provide more details about the specific issues or errors you are facing in order to better assist you?

Hello,

You may refer to the "PowerShell scripts" search page in HPE Support Center and see if documentation contained there helps your issue.

Hello,

One possible cause is that the iLO firmware version on the Gen11 servers is different from the Gen10 servers, and this may affect the communication and configuration of the iLO cmdlets. You may want to check the iLO firmware version on both servers and update it if necessary. You can find the iLO firmware download and installation instructions on the HPE website.

Another possible cause is that the PowerShell version or modules on the Gen11 servers are not compatible with the scripts you are running. You may want to check the PowerShell version and modules on both servers and install or update them if needed. You can find the PowerShell installation and update instructions on the Microsoft website.

A third possible cause is that the scripts you are running are not optimized or adapted for the Gen11 servers, which may have different hardware or software specifications from the Gen10 servers. You may want to review and modify your scripts to ensure they are compatible and efficient for the Gen11 servers. You can find some sample scripts and best practices for iLO cmdlets on the GitHub repository.

I hope this helps you to troubleshoot and resolve the issues with your PowerShell scripts on the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 servers.
