Compaq/HP 3310 kvm unit-- onscreen display possible?

I've got a 3310-series 8-port kvm box and I'd like to know if it has an onscreen display capability. I've got some online documentation for it, but while I can press PRNT SCRN to get the indicators flashing, I never see anything on the monitor and none of the other key combos work. This particular model does not have a comm port, if that makes a difference. The unit otherwise functions normally, but I'd like to be able to take full advantage of its capabilities.

Thanks.

Bryan,
If this is the KVM unit that has the big square buttons on it then there is no OSD. This is one of the first KVMs that compaq release. By chance is there a 6-3 part number somewhere? Might say...replace with compaq spares 123456-001 just to check to make sure that we are talking about the same one.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the update. The part number I believe is 169968-002. I can live without the OSD, but it makes me wonder if I can switch between servers via the keyboard. Do you know what the unit is doing when the PRNT-SCRN keyboard button causes the lights to continually cycle?

You can switch between the ports with the keyboard. When the lights start to cycle this is alerting you that the KVM switch box has now "listening". At this time you should be able to press the port number that you would like to switch to and press enter. For example, if you wanted to go to port 4 you can press pnt scrn | 4 | and this should shitch you to port 4.
Test it out and let me know.

That did the trick! Thanks, Scott!
