Re: HPE Warranty Check tool gone!?
Any feedback on when the Warranty Check API will be opened up for use ? I have requested access to this several times via the contact us forms at Contact us (redoc.ly) to no avail. I have some Powershell scripts I have developed against the specifications of the Published API and I would like to test and see if they work.
If you are able to escalate it internally within HPE somehow that would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason

Re: HPE Warranty Check tool gone!?
Hi Jason,
Thank you for your interest in the Warranty Check API pilot program. We appreciate your willingness to join the pilot program, but at this time, we have completed the selection of our pilot customers and have closed the pilot program. We are keeping all applicant submissions on file and will let them know once the Warranty Check API is ready for all customers. Thank you for your ongoing interest and we look forward to sharing this new API once ready.
Best regards,
Heather

Re: HPE Warranty Check tool gone!?
This is an identical reply word for word when I enquired on this last time. It is highly disappointing that HPE took the decision to remove a tool, which although was not perfect, was more functional then the "enhanced" replacement tool and have not seen fit to allow access to the API for people who are willing to assist with testing it (except to a very small pilot group).

Re: HPE Warranty Check tool gone!?
@JediNite - Thank you for providing your feedback on the current warranty check experience and the API process. While the API is not available in the experience today, the insights you provided will be taken to the Solution Management team to understand the opportunities available in the HPE Support Center as they work to test and validate an API that will be made available to all stakeholders in the HPE Support Center.
Thanks,
Audrey

I found the solution to this stupid way of simply checking serial numbers for my clients..... . I tell them the warranty is over and sell them into anything else other than HP. Spending way too much time just to look up if a part is under warranty.

there is like 6 pages here with many others simply saying... Bring back the original EASILY USABLE page that doesnt require logging in to simply check a warranty.
There isnt anything hard about doing that. . Sometimes LESS is MORE.. we dont need bells and whistles on a web page to tell us if something is in or out of warranty

HPE Warranty Check tool doesn't work
Throwing my hat into this ring.
The new tool simply doesn't work, either it just lists the servers model number and product number (but no dates or anything about the warranty).
Or just errors out and does nothing.
This is terrible, am I expected to contact HPE support now, everytime I want to check the Warranty on a clients server?
Edit: If you go to log a support case for your server, it'll ask for the serial number, if you don't have warranty, it'll alert you during the ticket creation phase. It's only semi-workaround since it'll only say yes or no but provide no dates or info.

Re: HPE Warranty Check tool doesn't work
Hi Support,
I just came accoss this thread and its been a few months since it was started. Is there an ETA on when the warrenty check API will be openly availiable? I have been struggling for years manually getting this infomation and it would be great to have something like Cisco SmartNet that I use for all our Cisco gear. It seems to me that whatever you can have made availaible via the UI should be trivial to make availabale via your API in todays times...?

This thread is now older than a full term pregnancy. Would want to be a very pretty baby that is born at the end of all this.

She wrote "in the coming months".
I had a look at my calendar and translate that to "definetly not this year ".

Re: HPE Warranty Check tool doesn't work
So, we must login to check the warranty status of HPE equipment?
Any simpler way? Dell is bettter in this.

Re: HPE Warranty Check tool doesn't work
Not that I'm aware of - having to get all of our team to sign up for an HPE account just to look up the serial number of a device is very stupid - I'm not sure if HPE realise the only thing we can do with the warranty data is make purchasing decisions that end up with us spending more money with them?
Dell is a hell of a lot easier to work with nowadays and we have stopped selling HPE completely, this being one of the reasons why. Not being able to programatically access the data or even look them up one by one is ridiculous.

Almost three years have passed by and HPE still hasn't taken care of its customers' needs?

I assume that HPE will do nothing. Same with access to firmware for switches. It's terrible. And also require login and HPE account.
