First of all, I dont know which board post this question... sorry
Second. I´ve never worked with tape drives. First experience.
This Mac Pro 2008 was sent to me because the hard disk has died. I installed a new disk and MacOS 10.11 El Capitan. And then the owner sent me this StorageWorks 960 and told me that this machine used to work with it normally. I don´t have any information about how it was before.
I started from scratch digging information and drivers and software then I´ve found in HPE website the "software and driver " version 4,28. The only version for MacOS. I´ve installed and nothing happens. No app, no nothing.
The drive is conected and on, but the system don´t see it.
Any clue or help?

Thanks for the hint Techin! I´ve searched a lot and didn´t find any clue.
I asked advice to a tape drive specialized company. Theu spent 2 hours connected at the mac and didn´t find the solution also.
Thinking to try to conifugre a windows machine to test the SCSI Card and the Drive.
And looking for hints here in the forum.
Thanks!

SolutionHi Sanjeev and all.
Thanks for your response.
I´ve already sorted out the problem:
First, the Scsi card wasn´t working properly. I´ve bought a second one on the internet.
Then I´ve found that there´s no driver for it on El Capitan and on. I had to install Yosemite.
And lastly, I´ve used Retrospect 10 trial version in order to rescue all the files of the tapes, as the HPE software didn´t recognized the LTO.
Work done! Machine, LTO, tapes and files were given back to the client and I´ve got money in my pocket, knowledge in my brain and more patience in my heart.
I love my work. Thanks for all.
