ARCServe vs Veritas

My company is evaluating ARCServe 2000 and Veritas BackupExec 8.5. Our current network includes a Novel 5.1 cluster and Win NT/2000 . We're looking for the best backup solution (least amount of problems, best options, etc...) to backup our servers to a TL895 library. Any suggestions, things to look out for, benefits or any advice regarding either backup vendor is greatly appreciated.

Are you going to use server/s that come from a single vendor? I mean is it just using server that comes from the compaq only? Or are you going to use heterogeneous server(hardware) environment? I suggest that you stick to the former. Use the Veritas if you're using Microsoft NOS, and Arcserve 2k for Netware. But be aware of patches and everything that will come with both software.
