Re: Backup Exec 8.5 - No more data on tape error
First of all, please check that the drive is installed correctly. Do not install it to a RAID controller or the same channel with HDDs.
The recommended HBA for Dat40 drive is Adaptec 29160LP, available from HP with all cables as a kit C7474A.
You can check compatibility from HP website www.hp.com/go/connect.
If you suspect the drive is faulty, you can test it with Library and Tape Tools, which you can download from for example http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNum=C7497A&prodName=hp+surestore+dat40+tape+array+module&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=63891
Remember to stop all (_ALL_) backup services before running L&TT.
HTH,
Arimo
