Data Protector Express Basic 5.0 Error
Hi,
We're using Data Protector Express Basic 5.0 and in some backup the error is:
"Error 64 Not found
Not attempted"
and yhe backup misses some files. At the same time the system log the error:
"The shadow copy of volume F: could not grow its shadow copy storage on volume F:."
We've alright modified the registry keys:
PAGEDPOOLSIZE
POOLUSAGEMAXIMUM
Has anyone found solution for this kind of error?

Looks like a communication error within DPX...
Restart the DPX services and see if it resolves the issue.

Hi Apkomp,
This error is normally seen in the backup when the application is not able to find an object. the object can be the file \ folder selected for the backup job. since you are getting an error in the windows event log also for the VSS, looks like the shadow copy is abruptly closing before the backup is done and the remaining files are giving this error.
check if you have atleast 20% (roughly) of free space on the Volume F: for the snapshots to be created. If it is less, the chances of this error is always there
