I have been backing up my server each day to a different tape - ie i have 5 tapes for the week,
The system logs all look ok
I wantto restore a single directory from a few days ago but whenever i preform a restore I get an alert asking for media4 - which was last nights - not media 1 that I know has the good directory on.
Can anyone help !!!!!

Solution
Hi Andy,
When you create the restore job you need to tell Data Protector Express which version of the vile to restore. Unfortunately that is not very obvious in the GUI and the "Help" files are much help.
In the restore file selection function, first select the directory you want to restore and then click on the "Versions" icon. It is a little green icon that looks like a sheet of paper with writing. I have attached a screen shot that might help. Then you should be able to select the specific version of the directory to recover.
