Hi
When you enable HTTPS on the RMI and set the Certificate Size., how does it generate the certificate?
What is the cipher suite used to generate the certificate? ie Does it use SHA-256 with RSA?
I don't have access to the equipment so am unable to check this myself.
Thanks

SolutionThe autoloader uses TLS 1.2. So it uses SHA256 based ciphers. Enabling the https allows the CSR to be generated using this protocol. The cipher used is usually one of the higher orders and is one among RSA / ECDSA. There is not going to be any control from the RMI on how or what gets selected. The GUI is simplified to allow a secure generation of CSR to then obtain a signed certificate for the autoloader.

Re: HPE StoreEver MSL 1/8 G2 0-drive Tape Autoloader RMI HTTPS Certificate
Thanks
So when you enable HTTPS, the options expand to provide more options? Currently there are no otpion to provide the CSR in the Network Configuration page, as shown in page 61 in the HPE StoreEver 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader user and service guide (Ed 19).

Re: HPE StoreEver MSL 1/8 G2 0-drive Tape Autoloader RMI HTTPS Certificate
There will be no option to expand when selecting the HTTPS option. The CSR details will not be visible.
