SCSI Card for HP Storage Works Ultrium 230 External Drive
Which is the best Adaptec SCSI card for HP Storage works Ultrium 230 External Tape Drive.

Hello,
Firstly I would suggest that if you are using an HP server you should really use an HP SCSI card (see www.hp.com/go/connect)
However if you definately want an Adaptec card my advice would be a 29160LP, this is a single channel Ultra160 SCSI HBA with an external VHDCI connect port. Alternatively a standard 29160, which is basically the same but with a 68pin HD connector.
A 2940U2W would also suffice, but it appears that Adaptec no longer sell this card.
The Drive is an Ultra2 SCSI device so Ultra2 and above cards are required.
(i.e. don't get a 2940 Ultra card as this would be too slow)
