Re: sony dds-3 and i-70 server
You need to check with Sony and see if they have drivers for HP-UX 10.20. If there are no drivers it might not work.
The reason I think it will is that I have seen other posts here of users who say they are using the hardware.
Note: The os is not supported by HP. I am merely repeating a fact, not speaking for HP.
I would check to make sure the SCSI id does not conflict and take the following steps:
1) use rmsf to remove the tape drivers
2) ioscan -fnC tape to check hardware
3) insf -e or insf -C to set the drivers up anew.

Re: sony dds-3 and i-70 server
I tried to use DDS-3 with G60 and E35 and I was not able to use them.
I think the problem is hardware incompatibility.
Sorry.

Re: sony dds-3 and i-70 server
I had to wait till to get a hp dds-3 drive.I disconnected Sony sdt-9000
dds-3 drive and connected HP 1537-69202
drive.I found it working fine.So i think there is hardware incompatability is there.
