HPE-Services-IT-sustainability-announcement.pngHPE today announced new and enhanced offerings that will be of interest to any organization that’s looking to improve its sustainable IT efforts. We unveiled a preview of an upcoming sustainability dashboard on the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform. And we announced an enhanced portfolio of services – including strategy, operations, and IT asset upcycling programs – designed to help organizations reduce the carbon footprints of their IT estates.

Here are the highlights of our announcement – learn more in our press release: Hewlett Packard Enterprise helps organizations reduce IT carbon footprint with new sustainability dashboard and comprehensive portfolio of services.

Sustainability dashboard on HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform

HPE will soon offer a new sustainability dashboard on the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform that delivers key insights on IT energy consumption, carbon emissions, and electricity costs. The dashboard will leverage advanced analytics from the HPE portfolio across compute, storage, and networking to improve overall sustainability performance.

New technology from OpsRamp, which HPE acquired in May 2023, will provide additional sustainable IT capabilities to the dashboard by delivering a unified approach to manage multi-vendor infrastructure and application resources in hybrid and multi-cloud IT environments.

The dashboard will be previewed during HPE CTO Fidelma Russo’s keynote at HPE Discover 2023, and it will be available to customers later this year.

Enhanced sustainable IT services

The new offerings include:

    • New workshops that explore a combined and sustainable approach to IT, workloads, and data centers – these are now available to customers seeking to begin their journey.
    • New sustainable IT baselining services provide a clear picture of energy usage and emissions within customers’ IT estates by considering commonly accepted accounting and reporting principles.
    • HPE Right Mix Advisor, a process that identifies application modernization and hosting requirements, has been enhanced to offer analyses of workload power consumption and calculation of IT carbon footprint (both collectively and at the application level).
    • New operational services provide customers with a continuum of sustainable IT features, including access to dedicated experts, asset upcycling services, customized Circular Economy reports, and access to additional certifications.
    • HPE Digital Learner – an online learning subscription service – now includes sustainable upskilling for IT and data center facility employees.
    • The Force for Good Financing Program from HPE Financial Services, which rewards organizations that demonstrate a measurable commitment to sustainability, has been expanded to include more small and mid-sized businesses.
    • A new charitable giving program is available through HPE Asset Upcycling Services. It allows organizations to donate funds to several reputable non-profit partners (such as Project Drawdown and UNICEF) as they decommission retired IT assets.
