Cannot connect to Web interface from a different subnet
Hi Everyone,
Since we upgraded to new switches 4500G and 4800G's I can no longer connect to the web login through my browser.
In the past I would just enter the IP of the switch and I would get connected to the web user login screen.
Does anyone know how to configure these switches to allow me to login to them from a remote site?
If I am in the same building and same subnet as the switch I can login with my browser but at another subnet I cannot.
LP

Re: Cannot connect to Web interface from a different subnet
Hello, can you ping the device from the remote subnet? If not, try adding a default gateway.

Re: Cannot connect to Web interface from a different subnet
You are right I cannot ping the devices. Through the web console I do not see an option to enter a gateway address.
It looks like I will need to go to the remote site and with a laptop plug into the console port to configure it. Or do you know a different way?
