HP 1920 configuration question for old Cisco phones

I've tried the command poe legacy enable with a 1920 switch, but it still won't power our old Cisco 7900 series phones.  I also tried specifying the amount of power and the power priority, but the phones still wouldn't work. These phones work on a 2900 series HP switch using the command power-over-ethernet pre-std-detect . Is there another configuration option I need to set on the 1920 series switches to accomodate older, pre-802.3af devices like this?
