click on files in diretory browsing on web site

i have a couple hundred files in a few folders, so i allowed directory browsing in these folders. the files are now viewable, but when clicked on... you are not given the option to download them. it gives a page saying, "This page cannot be found", which is coming fro mthe server as well... how might i fix this? i assume there is an option i have to change somewhere. thank you.

the internet guest account under the security tab of properties, wasn't allowing access to read the files. thanks!

oops.. it almost all works. it will download known file types. how might i make it able to download unknown file types? with the unknown file types it still gives a bad link. thank you

Add the unknown file type to an application within the Computer MIME Map.

Launch the IIS App (Internet Information Services application under Admin tools)

Then right click on your server, and select properties, towards the bottom of the displayed page, click on the Edit button within the Computer MIME Maps area.

by simply putting .* in the extension and application/octet-stream as the MIME type, all the downloads are now available.. thank you very much.

great you can use one more option like FTP, create an FTP and give the path of the folder and you can assign the permission..... I hope it will fully helpful you :)
