Meet Fatima Hassan, Senior Product Manager, who serves as an Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and analytics product manager designing solutions that leverage Cloud technology to solve unique customer challenges.  

Fatima's HPE career journey 

Fatima joined HPE after completing her graduate degree in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University, focused on Product Management, Entrepreneurship, and Computer Science. She began her career journey contributing to large projects before leading customer support initiatives. As her technical skills grew, she was offered more challenging assignments and now serves as a Senior Product Manager building Cloud solutions for customers.   

Fatima is most excited about the perpetual opportunity for innovation in the product management space because of the dynamic evolution of technology, such as the rise of Generative AI. Her commitment to continuous self-improvement drives her enthusiasm to make a meaningful impact on our product portfolio and the industry.

Q: How would you describe what you do as a Senior Product Manager? 
A:  Think, build, innovate and repeat! My role as a Senior Product Manager in the HPE GreenLake Edge to Cloud Platform team sits at the heart of our company strategy to build and enable seamless IT experiences while accelerating digital transformation for our customers. 

Q: How do you redefine what’s next in your career?   
A: To do my job well, I employ empathy to deeply understand our customers’ pain points, curiosity to learn new ways of reframing the problem, and relationship building to leverage the knowledge and experience of my team to create shared value! As my career grows, I am eager to embrace emerging trends to pioneer new solutions to drive product innovation while ensuring stability and embracing global perspectives. 

Q: What piece of advice would you give to someone interested in your field? 
A: Never be afraid to ask questions! Asking fundamental questions to ensure a clear understanding of the problem is more valuable than feigning intelligence by staying silent to avoid looking uninformed. It always surprises me how this one habit has opened so many doors for me in my career.
