How do I find drivers and firmware for Windows Server-based HPE ProLiant?
When it’s time to update firmware or drivers for HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers running Windows Server®, it’s important that customers know that they’re getting the latest, supported versions—and that includes keeping track of end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-support (EOS) deadlines.
To help our customers keep their servers up to date, the HPE Windows Server support matrix provides the most updated list of HPE servers certified and supported on the various Windows Server versions and editions, with direct links to drivers and other downloadable support files. The customer can simply click on the server name for a list of links to the different options. They can also click on the individual product links to obtain the HPE server QuickSpecs.
HPE recommends that our customers update to the latest software from HPE Drivers and Software and Windows Server operating system updates from Microsoft using one of two methods:
- Using Windows Update from within the Windows Server operating system (OS) to be updated.
- Selecting and downloading any known specific update(s) from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
Also, keep in mind that when customers are installing or upgrading the Windows Server OS from media, the drivers specific to each server are available via HPE Intelligent Provisioning.
If you or your customers have more questions or need more information, the HPE Information Library provides documentation, user guides, and technical white papers for Windows Server products on HPE ProLiant servers.
- Refer to the HPE Windows Server support matrix at https://techlibrary.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/windows.aspx.
- Visit the HPE Information Library at hpe.com/info/windows/documentation.
