Modernize with HPE and Azure Stack HCI

Today, our customers need the flexibility to thrive in a world where some workloads remain on-premises while others run in hybrid multicloud environments and/or at the edge. HPE and Microsoft recently announced that they are working together to help our customers make this a reality. As part of this cooperative effort, Azure Stack HCI now available as part of an expanded HPE GreenLake partner ecosystem.

Azure Stack HCI is a hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) operating system from Microsoft. HPE GreenLake is an elastic as-a-service platform from HPE that combines the simplicity and agility of the cloud with the governance, compliance, and visibility that comes with hybrid IT—all on a platform that can run on-premises, at the edge, or in a colocation facility. HPE and Microsoft have created a tightly integrated solution that gives customers more flexibility and control, giving them a unified, automated way to determine their right mix of workload placement in Hybrid Cloud environments.

At Microsoft Ignite this year, Don Randall from the HPE GreenLake team at HPE offered a session on how you can run Windows Server virtual machines (VMs) on-premises and at the edge while leveraging familiar Azure tools and services with a preconfigured, pay-per-use Azure Stack HCI service from HPE GreenLake. He covered how HPE GreenLake for Microsoft Azure Stack HCI is a complete solution, including scalable HCI, software, and services, delivered in a data center or colocation facility and managed by HPE.

The software-defined environment and central management experience provides customers with a way to use resources in a consistent way to reduce complexity with a cloud experience and operating model for applications and workloads. Even better, customers work with a single partner—HPE—that can deploy, license, advise, manage, and support the entire Azure estate, including tailored services from HPE Pointnext Services support.

In case you missed the session or want to rewatch it, it’s now available as 20-minute on-demand session in the Microsoft Ignite portal. You’ll get a quick overview of the solution and how it can help enable modernization and digital transformation initiatives, including virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) for remote work, high-performance Microsoft SQL Server, containers, and edge computing. The session also includes a demo of the HPE GreenLake Central software-as-a-service (SaaS) management platform.
