Adding Disk

I have a Proliant DL380 w/StorageWorks 4454R enclosure attached. I have 4 disk slots that I want to fill, but I want to know if adding these extends the existing Raid-5 Windows partitions or I will have to create new ones With the added disks?

Hi,
4454R is a JBOD rack (just a bunch of disks). It depends on the RAID controller you use if it is possible to extend an existing RAID set or if the new disks must be confirured as a new set. Of course it is always possible to reconfigure the whole array but in this case you must restore the data after reconfiguration.
