HP 2910 with new firmware 15 bug ?
Hello,
When I am configuring my switch whether on web or CLI, it would crashes, mostly I noticed is when I try to turn on
flow control . Afterward, I can't access the switch, all communications died, only way to access is via console.
Here is the error msg:
Software exception at smDmaTx.c:557 -- in 'tDevPollTx', task ID = 0x1a4d6b80
-> HW DMA DRIVER unable to transmit anymore
Is it a bug ? I am able to duplicated on both of my 2910.
P.S. This thread has been moved from Switches, Hubs, Modems (Legacy ITRC forum) to ProCurve / ProVision-Based . -HP Forum Moderator

Re: HP 2910 with new firmware 15 bug ?
I have this same error. I believe, in my case, it was related to having Flow Control enabled. With Flow Control disabled, I no longer have the crash. This error existed in 14.70 and still exists in 15.08.
I have 2910al-48G switches, all four have the same issue.
