remote access from browser

Hi all,

I am trying to access the CommandView SDm from a remote computer running Windows XP SP1, with Java 1.4.2. I have added the IP in access.dat file. I get the following error:

Init error for device: servername:VAhostname
Init error: Inintial device exception
Failed to open target servername: WaitForLogon Failed NOT BOUND IN REGISTRY

What does this mean?

I would guess that you are seeing this error because of security reasons. It is not part of your Domain, and you are not Authenticated to the server for doing this kind of connection.

You can use a remote desktop (RDC) application to login to the SMA. Or you can browse to it. That is the only supported ways to access the SMA that I know of.
