Hello everyone,
I have a doubte about a P2000 with one controller in fail status.
I have to replace controller in fail, but additionally I would like to replace working controller too because it's too old and it's very probable that fails too.
So my doubt is, can I shutdown the whole P2000, replace both controllers and power up the systems without lost of information or data corruption?
Thanks in advance

Yes you can swap or upgrade the controllers without losing the data on the disk sets. This would be similar to upgrading the P2000 to MSA 1040/2040. The upgrade guide is no longer available from HPE as the P2000 is End Of Support Life.
Here is an alternate location for the upgrade paper: https://manualzz.com/doc/24235692/upgrading-to-the-hpe-msa-1040-or-hpe-msa-2040-2042-technical or you may want to Google for the Upgrade guide. This will give you an idea of what to expect.

You should really be looking to update your storage to something newer/supported. As you have pointed out the system is suspect due to age.
Did you know the MSA Health Check works on P2000 as well? www.hpe.com/storage/MSAHealthCheck

Re: Replace both P2000 G3 MSA Systems Controllers at the same time
Yes you can swap or upgrade the controllers without losing the data on the disk sets.
That's correct for the Data (Raid, Volumes), but let me give the note, that the Configuration of the MSA is stored on the Controllers.
If you swap both at the same time, this is lost.
It includes things like iscsi or FibreChannel configuration, Volume exports, added Hosts, Name, Time, Mail Setup, ...
It's a good idea to take some Screenshots, so you can recreate them.

Re: Replace both P2000 G3 MSA Systems Controllers at the same time
So, the fact that one of the controllers is in fail state, when y replace de controller that si working property, the configuration will be lost,. Is this true?

Re: Replace both P2000 G3 MSA Systems Controllers at the same time
Yes, the Data will Stay, but the Controller config is lost.
Because only the Raid and Volume Configuration is stored on the Disk.
But if you have captured by CLI or Screenshots, I will typically recreate it within 15-30 min.
