By Kevin Freymeyer

HPE's North America OEM Sales Leader, Kevin Freymeyer, will be at HPE Discover 2024 next week. Looking forward to seeing the HPE OEM Solutionsโ€™ booth and the customer demos that will be featured., heโ€™s put together a summary of the key OEM demos for visitors this year.

HPE Discover 2024 is just a week away. As you plan your trip, be sure to schedule a visit to the HPE OEM Solutions booth. Iโ€™ll be there along with many of global team to answer questions, meet one-on-one, and show you what manufacturers, software vendors, and solution providers are creating with HPE hardware, IT solutions, services, and supply chain management.

Naturally, weโ€™ll have some cool demos at the booth. In my humble opinion, itโ€™s the best showcase of our OEM partner technologies and solutions weโ€™ve ever had. Here are five demos that you have to see.

1. Sensei cashier-less retail store

Sensei and our event team have built a fully functioning, cashier-less retail store at the center of the OEM booth. Shoppers can experience what it is like to walk in, grab their items, and leave. The Sensei system automatically charges the shopperโ€™s digital wallet, no waiting in line, no swiping cards.

Senseiโ€™s technology uses computer vision AI to map the store and its inventory, track items as customers choose products, and tally their purchases. The system can detect, track, and analyze all customer behavior and product interactions to provide operational data and customer insights at the store level. In-store HPE ProLiant servers equipped with Intel Xeon Scalable processors and NVIDIA GPUs provide computing power for video processing, AI inference, and POS workloads.

2. Elekta CT scanner powered by HPE and Lego

Yes, Lego! Weโ€™ve built a CT scanner out of Legos to showcase Elektaโ€™s AI-powered imaging software, and weโ€™re bringing it to the HPE OEM Solutions booth.

Elekta offers a comprehensive ecosystem of radiation therapy hardware and software that includes imaging systems like CT scanners, radiation therapy and radiation surgery machines for cancer treatment, and oncology software. Many of their systems rely on embedded HPE edge servers for control systems, imaging, and AI analysis.

A Lego CT scanner gives us all a chance to explain what goes on under the hood of these state-of-the-art, lifesaving machines, which includes our HPE ProLiant servers.

3. Iceotope KUL EXTREME ruggedized micro data center

Edge applications can put computing hardware in challenging environments that expose devices to extreme heat and cold, shocks and vibration, dust, moisture, and, unfortunately, people looking to damage equipment.

Iceotopeโ€™s KUL EXTREME is a 100% sealed, single-server case that completely isolates and protects an HPE ProLiant DL380 server from airborne contaminants and humidity. Iceotopeโ€™s precision immersion cooling technology eliminates the need for server fans and air-cooling infrastructure, allowing the system to operate virtually anywhere, including noise-sensitive environments such as hospitals.

An important side benefit of the Iceotope KUL chassis: significant energy savings. An end user with ten 1,000W servers would normally budget 400W per server, or 4 kW total, for cooling. This means that a HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 server encased by the KUL EXTREME cools ten servers using only 400 watts total, representing up to a 90% average reduction in energy spent on cooling.

4. Fogsphere workplace safety monitoring platform

Weโ€™ll have a live feed from a Fogsphere-monitored smart logistics center. Fogsphere uses AI computer vision, CCTV, and IoT technology to analyze live workplace video. The system monitors work conditions for unsafe situations and checks that workers are consistently following safety protocols. Its computer vision system can identify in real-time whether workers are wearing hard hats, gloves, and other equipment, and instantly issue safety warnings.

We can walk you through all the complexities involved in deploying AI and computer vision in industrial workplaces when you stop by the booth.

5. Tauria quantum security solution demo

Whether weโ€™re ready or not, weโ€™re already living in a post-quantum security landscape. What does that mean for cybersecurity? Quantum computers may be able to break modern encryption algorithms like the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in a matter of minutes.

To combat this new threat, Tauria has developed a Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) platform that can protect data from quantum hacking. Theyโ€™ll be sharing live demos of quantum secure communications at the HPE OEM Solutions booth, which I am also intrigued to see.

See you at HPE Discover 2024 โ€“ Las Vegas

In addition to these amazing customer demos, the HPE OEM team will have technical experts on hand, workshops, and deep dives into OEM solutions. Donโ€™t miss our OEM roundtable discussion on Wednesday, June 19th at 11:00 am.

I hope to see you at the booth!
