1) Why is cmquerycl looking for cmclconfig file ?
I don't have one.(see below)
2)what does unable to determine domain name
3)Do I have to pvcreate disk before I run this cmquery command ? is that why I get "unable to pen disk" message.
#cmquerycl -C escripttest.ascii -n ojrdhes3 -n ojrdhes4

do you have an /etc/cmcluster directory ?
did you pvcreate the cluster aware disks and make them "cluster aware" ?
the domain name is just a warning telling you the servernames can not be associated with a domain. Most probably in your /etc/resolv.conf, you do not register the servers with a domain name.

hope u haven't ran cmquerycl with these options
cmquerycl -v -C /etc/cmcluster/filename -n node1 -n node2
have you run cmscancl -o ?

Pradeep- I have the cmclnodelist although I am not sure if A11.16 version, you even need cmclnodelist.
Mel- You are right. I did not pvcreate or configure any shared disk. Neither did I do vgexport and vg
import. Now, I dont get any error.
Dev. and Vinod guided me to follow steps. I will post any more problems I may have.
