Hello,
I took a rp2470 PA-RISC box and reloaded it with ll.23 V2. It is now set up in it's permanent place and everything seems ok until you ping another box. The ping goes good for 20 to 40 seconds then it can stop for up to a minute.
I have been with our network folks and they too are baffled. We shutdown quenching by performing ndd -set ip... and made the setting for 0 but this did not solve our problem.
Any ideas, thoughts you have will be appreciated!

Are you pinging an IP in the local subnet, or are you going through a router? Does the router respond to ICMP Echo Reqeusts (pings)? What is the setting of ip_ire_gw_probe (iirc).
