We are using below 2 types of HPUX servers:-
9000/800/N4000-55
B.11.00
9000/800/L3000-8x
B.11.11
We are thinking to use vPar on these systems.
Just wanted to know upgrades are needed to implement vPar on these systems.
Second, are these machines are capable of implementation of vPar systems ?
Can we implement WLM and PRM to these systems ?
Thanks,
Shiv

SolutionThis is a duplicate post. You do NOT need to post questions to two or more different categories. If you feel that you have selected the wrong category, ask a moderator in the "Forums Issues" thread to move it.
My original answer to your question is here:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=980568
The current, Forum Issues thread for December is here:

Re: vPar, WLM and PRM
That's not a problem. I posted a request to re-categorize your question in the December Forum Issues thread.
Cheryl Griffin (HP) currently manages the thread. It's generally called "Please Post Forums Issues - MONTH YEAR". December's is here:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=980301
There is also a monthly "successes" thread:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=980300
Various HP moderators *do* monitor these threads and will note any of the issues and/or successes you bring up.
Enjoy the Forum!
Regards!

Re: vPar, WLM and PRM
The HP's forum is really helping me to address my day-to-day problem.
This forum has helped me to direct my career.
If i knew about this forum i could have adopted my career in HPUX unix sys amdin long ago.
Now i have to massage my knowledge and uptodate my understanding with the help of the unix gurus on this forum.
I will switch over my career as a hpux sys admin in the future.
Thanks,
Shiv

Re: vPar, WLM and PRM
It appears that the wrong thread was removed by HP and my the information I pointed you toward vanished with it.
My response was "yes" vPars is available for the servers you mentioned on 11.11 and 11.23. The following links offer more information:
For 11.11:
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-2814/ch05s04.html
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T1335AC
For 11.23:
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-1101/ch05s07.html
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T1335BC
Additional papers can be found in the "virtual Partions" documentation by operating system release at :

Re: vPar, WLM and PRM
Yes, vPars for 11.11 is supported on L3000 servers. See here as previously noted:

Re: vPar, WLM and PRM
You are too kind :-))
You may have 1 CPU per partition. A minimum of 256MB memory per partition is also required. This document gives more details:
