Critical Error Log - Where to find?

Tell me, please, where i can find (and how to read) the Critical Error Log to which ASR2 posts messages before rebooting a server. Thank you.

You will find the errors in the Integrated management log. Are you running windows and are you able to get into the OS? If so you will find it in the Programs menu under HP/Compaq System tools.

Hi Boris,

A couple of ways to view the IML (Integrated Management Log):

1. If you have a RILOE or an iLO, connect to the RILOE\iLO interface. On the very first page, you should see a link for Integrated Management Log for the server.

2. If you have installed Proliant Support Pack and are runnning the survey utility, then look for C:\Compaq\Survey.txt (I might not be accurate in the location for survey.txt file so you may wanna just search for this file...its definitely in C: and Compaq subdirectory.
Survey.txt contains info on specific IML info.

3. You could download and install IML Viewer for Windows from the Hp web site. Check under Start->Programs->HP System Tool ->IML Viewer.

C:\Compaq\Survey.txt
and
Start->Programs->HP System Tool ->IML Viewer.

are both good option to see

Where as can veiw from diff server using management agents also.
If server dont have os then smartstartcd ( abit of doubt weather we can or not )or DOS IML reader.
