We have recently acquired 3 new servers, all "ProLiant DL360 Gen10" with an "Embedded RAID 1: HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen 10".
They all have identical configurations. On one of them I managed to go into the BIOS and create a RAID5 by:
-> going to system configuration, -> create array -> select the 3 disks and RAID5 -> confirm configuration -> created RAID5.
Unfortunately for the other 2 servers, I am getting a message: "Failure to create one or more encrypted logical drives. Failed to set label on one or more logical drives. Failed to set controller surface scan. Failed to set controller cache configuration."
I am not sure where to start troubleshooting it... Anyone have any idea?

Re: ProLiant DL360 Gen10 issue with logical drive when creating RAID5
Hi,
I would check if all the Firmwares are correct on all controllers.
Does all the controllers have a cache module installed?

SolutionThanks for the replies.
After loggin into the "Perform Maintenance" (F10) option, I was able to see that the problematic servers had "CBE Encryption enabled" and were having trouble getting info back from the key server. So I cleared the CBE encryption and was able to create the array as normal.
