HP SIM sending false positive alerts

Gents,

I am having problems w/ HP SIM. For some unknown reason, HP SIM is sending fairly frequent false positive alerts about devices being unavailable. I upgraded from version 4.0 to version 4.2, hoping that the problem will go away but it hasn't.

I have deleted the devices that I got false positive alerts for and rediscovered them, still the problem keeps coming back. What should I do? Thanks!!!

Thanks for the reply. I will force SNMP and WBEM timeout changes to all our devices we support. For those accross the WAN, I set them for 30 secs timeout w/ 3 attemps. For the local ones, I set them for 15 secs timeout w/ 3 attemps. I guess all I can do now is wait and see what happens. Happy New Year!!!
