Monitoring of hardware
I am trying to find out how to monitor hard drive failure and potential failure on a client server. Running HP SIM 5.1 sp1. I have looked through Automatic Event Handling and did not see where this can be achieved.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Monitoring of hardware
For hardware failures etc. HPSIM relies on the HP Agents being installed on the client. So it depends on hardware, e.g. works with HP, doesn't do the same thing for non-HP.
The Agents use SNMP to send a trap to HPSIM, so SNMP Trap destinations, community names etc. need to be set.
