Presenting tape Cartridge as a disk or network Drive
Hi Guys,
we are using a HPE MSL 6480 Tape library for our tape backups. we also use some software to transfer our archive data from a SSD Tier Disk storage(Network Drive) to NL-SAS Tier Disk torage(Network drive) as a archiving Means. i was wondering if there is a way to present the Tape cartridges through Tappe drive as Disk or a network drive to a server, so we can copy data from our SSD Toer to tape Tier Directly with that software.
i understand the Tape performance is slow, i just want to know if there is possibility of implementing this, or if anyone has the experience of doing so.
best regards,
Hirosh.

Re: Presenting tape Cartridge as a disk or network Drive
We can use the LTFS application to make use of the tapes as a regular storage device. Kindly check out the application link for more details.
