3018 modem-aux0 configuration

Hi, i am using a USRobotics modem to connect to the aux0 interface for remote administration but i only get garbage on the hyperterminal. I have set the modem init string to AT&F1S0=1&N6



i have set the hyperterminal settings to the recommended on the manual: speed 9600, stop bits 1,no parity and data bits 8.



what else i am missing?
