Re: HP 1920-8G Switch - System Booting Porblem.
Is your HPE OfficeConnect 1920 Switch (JG920A) able to run correctly or not? it's not clear if those messages are boot warnings only or a signal that something worst happened...do you have access to it via Console? do you reach its Boot Menù? what do you see exactly since you power it on? are you able to manage it through its Web GUI or what? which firmware version was/is it running on?

Re: HP 1920-8G Switch - System Booting Porblem.
Hi Parnassus,
Answer your first question, not it isn't able to boot correctly. Yes, I can access to it via console cable and i'm able to access to the boot menu. At the begining i thought it was some kind of issue related with the firmware and i tried changing it for other versions (older and later) but i had no good result.
Bellow you can see the full output i got.
I hope you could help me.

Are you sure you loaded the correct Firmware for the correct Switch SKU (latest release has name R1119)?

Re: HP 1920-8G Switch - System Booting Porblem.
Hello,
i am facing the same issue ; my switch HP 1920-48G is not able to start correctly . a loop of errors like :
RTK API error = 3, file hal/switch/realtek/rtk_drv_acl_839x.c, line = 3934
Before installing the lastest fireware 1119 the switch was not able to start and set up the ip for vlan1 to manage it.
So i installed the lasted fireware But after instalation of the lastest fireware 1119 i m still getting the same message errors but after a few messages .i can access to the CLI and setup the ip for vlan 1 but i can not ping this IP from my switch .
any help please
Best regards.

Re: HP 1920-8G Switch - System Booting Porblem.
+ver los archivos: opción 1 = Display All Files
+Seleccionar el firmware a cargar: 2 = Set Aplication File Type
+Seleccionar el archivo de configuración: 3 = Set Configuration File Type
+Borrar Archivos: 4 = Delete File
Saldrá lo siguiente: "Please Start to Transfer File, Press ctrl+C to exit. Waiting ...CCCCCCCCCCC
Google Translated
In case of configuration errors or damage to the base operating system of the Switch, the software can be recovered by following the following steps:
1) Use the software: ExtraPuTTy This is an improved version of PuTTy
2) Set the Connection Parameters They depend on the Switch. Check the parameters to connect your switch via serial cable
3) Access the Extended Boot Menu (ctrl + B)
4) Delete the configuration file: select option 4 = File Control (I recommend deleting this file since when loading the new firmware it will be in charge of generating a new one with the factory settings of the swich) In this menu we can + see the files: option 1 = Display All Files + Select the firmware to load: 2 = Set Application File Type + Select the configuration file : 3 = Set Configuration File Type + Delete Files: 4 = Delete File
5) go back to the main menu and select option 2 = Enter Serial SubMenu
6) In the following Menu, choose the option: 2 = Update Main Application File The following will appear : "Please Start to Transfer File, Press ctrl + C to exit. Waiting ... CCCCCCCCCCC
7) When this legend appears, from the ExtraPuTT tools menu and select: Files Transfer / Xmodem 1K / Send
Select e The .bin file to load on the switch (it is always recommended that it be the latest stable firmware downloaded from official HP sources)
This step will take a long time. Patience.
9) Restart the switch and select the new firmware to load. This is selected from the menu specified in point 4 of this guide. It is possible that this step updates the BootWare. Do it without fear, preparing to run the new firmware. It will take time to create the new configuration file again.
10) Once finished, the switch is working with the factory settings, so it can now be managed via the Web. 1
1) Celebrate the recovery of expensive equipment with a cold beer.
