Cannot add Devices to CIM anymore
This alway used to work, and most of the times after a restart of the SQL server, I could add or change devices in CIM.
Now I tried all, but cannot add new devices to CIM. De Database is on the same server as CIM.For the rest CIM still functions and reports device status etc. Any idears?

Re: Cannot add Devices to CIM anymore
We've had about the same problem, but with HP SIM. Our problem was that we hadn't "configured our SQL-server correct".
HP SIM filled up our transaction-logs (over 10 GB with logs) on our SQL-server, until there where no more disk availble. That resulted in some odd problems, including the one you described.

Re: Cannot add Devices to CIM anymore
I have posted the question before, and found that NO ONE can give a definitive answer as to why this keeps happening.
The only way I fixed this problem was to schedule a reboot of the server running CIM7 and SQL once a week.
Ever since doing thsi, teh problem has not re-occured.
Hope this helps.

Re: Cannot add Devices to CIM anymore
But CIM and SQL is on the same server. When rebooting the server, the problem does not dissappear.
But it seems like CIM does add devices, but it takes an awfull lot of time (days).
